Getting started

How to reach us

Tell us what the door is doing and roughly where you are - that is enough to know whether it is a same-visit fix or something that needs a part ordered first.

  1. 1

Call and tell us what it’s doing

    (912) 206-4024 - describe the symptom and roughly where you are.

  2. 2

    Or send it in writing

Use the request form if it’s easier than talking.

  3. 3

    We diagnose on site

A technician tests the door under power and by hand before anything is quoted or replaced.

  4. 4

    You approve the plan

You hear what failed and what it takes to fix it - the work starts only after that.

Contacting Us

The fastest way to reach us is by phone: (912) 206-4024. If you've got a spring that let go, an opener that won't respond, or a panel that's come off its track, tell us that on the call so we can figure out what to bring before anyone leaves the shop.

Our address is 6001 Chatham Center Dr, Savannah, GA 31405. We run jobs out from there across the Savannah area, including Georgetown, Garden City, Montgomery, Isle of Hope, Thunderbolt, Bloomingdale, Skidaway Island, Richmond Hill, Whitemarsh Island, Buckhead, Port Wentworth, Wilmington Island, Rincon, Midway, and Tybee Island, along with the closer-in neighborhoods like the Liberty City/Summerside/Southover/Richfield cluster, the area and Sandfly, both Historic Districts.

We don't have an online booking form right now, so a phone call is the surest way to get a truck scheduled. If you prefer to swing by the address above, that works too, though we're usually out on calls during the day.

What Happens After You Call

  1. When you call, we ask what the door is doing (or not doing), the brand if you know it

And roughly how old the door and opener are. A lot of homes in this area were built somewhere between 1964 and 2011, with most of the stock going up in the 1980s and 90s, and that era tells us a lot about what hardware we're likely dealing with before we even pull up.

  2. From there we give you a rough window for the day and figure out whether this is a same-visit fix (a broken torsion spring, a snapped cable, a sensor out of alignment) or something that needs a part ordered first, like a specific opener board or a panel that has to be matched

  3. On site, we look at the whole system, not just the symptom you called about

A door that's binding on the track is sometimes a spring problem wearing a different mask. We'll tell you straight what's wrong, what it costs to fix, and whether it's worth fixing at all before any work starts.

Work We Turn Down

We work on residential garage doors: springs, cables, rollers, tracks, openers, and panel replacement on single and double doors. We don't do commercial roll-up doors or warehouse-grade equipment, and we don't do general carpentry or framing work even if it's attached to a garage.

If a door is old enough and far enough gone that a repair would just be a short-term patch, we'll say so rather than bill you for parts that won't hold. Given how much of the housing here dates to the 1980s and 90s, we see plenty of original hardware that's simply past the point of matching replacement parts to, and in those cases replacement is the honest answer, not another repair visit.

We also won't quote a job sight unseen over the phone beyond a rough range. Garage doors have enough variables - track type, spring count, header clearance - that a real number needs eyes on the door first. If that's not the answer you're looking for, we understand, but it's the one we can stand behind.

Door stuck open or won’t close?

A garage door that won’t close leaves your home open. Tell us what’s happening and we’ll help you figure out the fastest way to get it secured.

Questions

Frequently asked

Straight answers about garage door repair in Savannah. Still unsure? Ask us directly.

How old does a garage door have to be before repair stops making sense?

It depends on what's failing, but when an opener or hardware set is from the earlier end of the 1964-2011 build range and parts are discontinued, repair costs can creep close to replacement cost. We'll give you both numbers on site so you can decide - we don't push replacement on a door that's still got life in it.

Do you work outside Savannah proper?

Yes. We cover towns from Georgetown and Garden City a few miles out, through Richmond Hill, Port Wentworth, and Wilmington Island around 11-13 miles, and farther runs to Rincon, Midway, and Tybee Island at 19-20 miles. Call and ask - if it's on our list, we'll get a truck there.

Does Savannah's weather cause garage door problems?

Our climate runs mild with only occasional freeze risk, so we don't see the hard freeze-thaw damage that cracks hardware up north. Humidity and plain mechanical wear from decades of use are more common culprits here than weather events.

Can you fix an opener from the 1990s?

Sometimes. A lot of the housing stock here dates to the 1980s and 90s, so we see plenty of older openers. If parts are still available, we repair. If the model's been discontinued, we'll say so and walk you through replacement options instead of chasing a part that doesn't exist anymore.
